Richer Than Rich

June is officially here! As I mentioned before, I am going to give the 'daily blogging' phenomenon a try for this month since it is a special month, and I occasionally like to participate in NaBloPoMo when I feel like I might be able to swing it. Although it is easy to find something to complain about every day, it's challenging but rewarding to find positive things to write about. June's "theme" is HEROES. I think I can get creative with that subject.

Now regarding luck and privilege? It's ridiculous to think by any means that I am unlucky or unfortunate when I have so many things and people in my life to be thankful for. Today is a day to honor one of my favorite heroes, my husband Rich.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. J!

'What kind of hero is he?' you might wonder? Well multiple things put him on my list of heroes. He is a guitar hero (real-life, not in video game version), he overcame many things having grown up in circumstances that might predispose other kids into taking wrong roads, but he made something of himself, and he is just an extremely bright, witty, positive force to be reckoned with. When times get dark, and I am certain I am annoying him with my negativity or tears, he finds a way to make me realize that I'm wasting my time worrying, and helps me laugh right through it all. (Who could resist that smile?)

So here's to you "Mr. J". You're the hero of my heart and love of my soul. You've been my family for a few years now, but I feel like you've been a part of me all my life. I'm so happy and fortunate to have you be a part of my life and my heart. I truly wish you a wonderful, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and I Love You With All My Heart.

That's a nice tribute to your husband. Even before I fell in love with my wife, I called her my hero. She had done so much for her children as a single mom and worked so hard to give them a better life. It was a hard road, but she perservered.

We all need heroes.
