Soothe Me

It's not exactly sunny around here today, and it's not exactly raining either. However, since I am a fan of rain sounds as well as relaxation and meditation, I thought I would share this. Do yourself a favor and take 6 1/2 minutes to just soothe your soul. Bet it helps (either that or makes you need to pee). Just try it. Close your eyes and listen. Breaker Breaker

W ell the busy week just kicked me in the butt, so sure... I took a few days off where I just didn't think of posting, took to a bit of relaxing, and of course had to take care of a few things. Nothing really exciting, just the same old crap, revisited. Had a pretty cool dream involving John Lennon last night as I slept in my Dad's old recliner. I know there was more to it than I can recall, but I forgot a few pieces. The part I do remember was I felt a huge wave of emotion when I was talking to him, and I said, "John there just aren't any others like us who really "feel", and no one who understands like you do!" [I'm not quite sure what this meant and why I was confessing this to John.] John replied, "I know. But there are a few." Then he began to name some specific people for me to look up, and I said, "Wait, let me write them down!" and I grabbed a pen and paper, and began to take names that John Lennon told to me. Of course u...

Rain Down On Me

Heeding The Message

Image
I wasn't planning to come back today, but sometimes what you plan, and the final outcome of the day/week/year/life don't always make a perfect match. When your intuition kicks in, you know, 'that gut feeling', or the 'little voice' that gives you the impressions... What you 'ought' to do... what do you do?? Listen?? Take heed and give it a chance? Or do you dismiss it for whatever reason, thinking better of the idea? It happens for a reason... don't fight those gut feelings, urges... If you get one, before dismissing it, give it a fighting chance. It might make all the difference for you. Don't get me wrong, everyone has free will, but the guidance, your intuition is there only to help make getting to your destination a little easier. Who couldn't use that?? Well, that was my message that I was "urged" to share with you today... I hope it reminds you to just chill, and go with the flow and remember that everything always falls int...

Pump up the Volume!

Image
Some days you just have to come in, slink into your chair, slip on your headphones and blast the volume... Drown it & them out... (Alllll the way out). Woke up to rain this morning, which is always great in my book but not the 'driving in it' part. Especially in Memphis. Every road toad slinked along or stomped on breaks, basically asking for it accident-wise. My basic personal road philosophy (I adhere to whenever possible), is to try to keep a spot to myself where nobody is Hooooovering right next to me, and nobody's in front of me playing sitting duck, going 20 MPH and stomping brakes like grapes. And of course, I try not to have anyone riding my ass either... usually that's not much of a problem since most people who ride others' asses on the roads are the ones with death wishes so they go barrel-racing through the traffic-jammed rain-soaked streets like Mario Andretti on speed. This morning was no different really, I got the people who took up the left han...

Soul Soothing Thunderstorms

Image
Forces of nature can be so cool and calm at times, with a tender breeze, birds chirping and the sun shining, and all is calm then it can turn fierce just as quickly. For me, however-there's nothing quite like a good Thunderstorm . I love them... can't think of a better way to spend a grey, stormy day than curled up in front of a good movie, balled up in your favorite comforter with a cup of cocoa. Maybe you're lying there so relaxed during the movie, that you tune out and just listen to the rolling waves of thunder, occasionally cracking the sky, and relax even further as the intensity of the raindrops waxes and wanes, singing you to a peaceful warm sleep. Euphoria for me, whether alone or sharing the fluffy comforter with someone you love ;) Ahhh, how I love a beautiful Thunderstorm...
