Deep In The Forrest

I went for a ride a little earlier, and I mean the summer heat is on. I read one bank clock that said about 101 degrees, but I don't know. As long as I was rolling I was fine. Anyway, summer ain't playin around and it's not even officially here yet. Almost... hang tight. Two Days until my birthday, -insert unenthusiastic "yay" here. I am taking off but I still have to keep an eye on some work issues. How's that for slavin to th' man? Anyways, this one is short today. You guys have a lot of reading to catch up on anyways, so get started!! :)) Here's how we used to spend summers when I was growing up... I miss the innocence and ignorant joy of youth. Is it really Monday again and the work week has really come to slap me in the face? I have got to do something about this reality I created. Why did I not go for the tropical island or the snowy wilderness?? I guess it's meant to be for now huh. Complaint of the Day: People who send me like 20 "Fwd" joke/junk messages, one after the other. I don't really like forwards, but I deal with a few of them. I just think this is ridiculous though, one or two? Maybe... 20 in a row, torture. You're just begging me to "block" you. There goes another one!! Geez... get a life! Well, work is going to be steady and kind of hectic for the next few weeks, so much going on and an office relocation (not sure of exact date on that). I dread it though, I know change is imminent, it usually has the flavor of stale brew (hard to swallow). This is a very strange planet, and awfully odd universe we have created for ourselves, am I right? But we may as well appreciate all of the crazy things that make it home while we're here... That includes, for me, never growing up (as I've mentioned before). I told you that this past Friday , Mr. J and I took our tent down to Mom-n-Dad's house to "test" it out. This means fixing up a test campground, which we ended up making right behind the house, not far from the extension cord, and not too far from civilization. We're silly, pansy idiots, I know. But even so, we still had fun, sweated to death and I made it through the whole night without even one mosquito bite. That in itself is a miracle! I thought I would entertain you with one of my infamous captioned slide shows. These are a few shots I captured on the way. 12 Days 9 Hours 22 Minutes 'What's with the countdown?' you ask... Well, it's how long I have until Christmas. Less than 13 days until Christmas [as I write this]. Why then, do I still see no snowflakes? Why then, are the temperatures dancing around in the mid-60s? The only thing I want to see in the 60s in December are maybe videos from The Doors or Jimi Hendrix (a few others perhaps)... but NOT the temperature. What do I have to do to see some freaking snowflakes around here?? I guess I may as well stop with the whining... I know what i'm bargaining with living in this area of the country. If I want a blizzard, I should be in Colorado or Alaska :) Ok, so enough of that. I've got to stop being a Holiday mood-killer. I have yet to send out my Christmas cards, mostly because i'm still trying to locate them within the chaotic realm that I call home.
