Good Starts

Getting your day off to a good start is important, is it not? For example, my day starts off at its best when I am able to get my exercise first thing in the morning, have a peaceful little breakfast, quick soak in the tub, get ready in peace and then tackle the day. This morning that was not the case. Just about 2:00 a.m. I awoke from yet another dream about Slash. It's all fine and good that I dream about him, but this is a man who I met only once, when he was using my back to sign my shirt. I admire him and his talent, but that's about it. He really has enjoyed showing up in my dreams though! So this time, he and my husband (Mr. J) were hanging out and jamming, and drinking tequila. They made ME go and get their tequila (which was a brand called "Pit Viper"). To my knowledge, there is no tequila named Pit Viper, so that was funky. There was more happening around me, but that was the basic jist of it. I sat up in bed, decided to go and pee, then went back to sleep ...

St. Anger And The Hudsons

Today's "Zen" proverb of the day: "When you try to stay on the surface of the water, you sink; but when you try to sink, you float." Let that be a lesson Y'all! lol Ok, so I started trying to work up this post yesterday, and it began with a little letting off of some steam. I'm not angry, like right now in the present sense I am not "in a bad mood", I am fine really. I am still working on myself, and taking things one day at a time. It works... for me at least. But I think one of the reasons why I don't have an alcohol or a drug problem, or have to be institutionalized for any psych problems is because I don't mind freely sharing what's on my mind. I feel unhealthy when I keep things bottled up inside, my emotions and feelings, I let them out as much as possible. I think it helps keep me relatively well adjusted (as much as is possible on this crooked rock lol). But anyways, when I started this post I was merely letting out a few...

Growing Pains

Image
No matter how old we get, we're still "growing", learning, experiencing ups and downs that come with the lessons of life... "Growing Pains" if you will. Do you ever gauge yourself or your accomplishments against your age? Do you maybe get upset, because you're "this many" years old, and you have yet to ( fill in the blank )? I think I do this... I feel as though I have always tried hard, and treated people very well no matter what it was I was doing, and my only sin in that is probably that I wasn't "assertive" enough, or maybe lacked the motivation to rise on up, and wasn't a 'cut-throat' or backstabber. Just upsetting when someone who hasn't gone through nearly as many trials, life, who hasn't been at it even half as long, can just waltz off with some prize, have something just fall into their lap... totally undeserved. Unreliable folks who simply treat those around them with nothing but disrespect and ill-manne...
