Rodney The Undergraduate

My niece, Kristie was always very independent. Just 2 years my junior (due to the fact that I was a delayed blessing in my family and my sisters are all significantly older than me), she, Stacey and I grew up more like Sisters ourselves than Aunt and nieces. She went off to the Math and Science high school after tenth grade, attended Mississippi State and then headed off into the wild blue yonder (which happened to be Arizona). It was more independent and brave than the rest of us really, who stayed pretty close to home. When she was going to college in Arizona, she would tell us about the people she met, and went to school with, and those that she became more familiar with got 'nicknames' kind of like "Rodney the Undergraduate" (as by this time she was in grad school). When she told the latest news and such, this is how we came to know her associates. As you can see, Rodney the Undergraduate eventually became Rodney Man Candy, the Boyfriend, and then finally Rodney t...

Snow Blind!

Birthday wishes go out today to an honorary "Good Ol' Boy" from NYC, our friend RockDog!! Well, I could hardly believe it, but it's true. The Mid-South was hit by snow and ice. Of course I was ecstatic. But I can tell the times have certainly changed. When I went out to take a look and "play" in the snow, there wasn't a kid in sight!?! How is this possible... I would've been outside all day long building a snowman, having Dad pull us around on the sled and just getting frostbitten to hell... Maybe they're all inside eating cake and playing their video games... go outside and play kids!! Time (and snow) is precious in these parts. :-{ So, Rodney says "Let's Celebrate!!!" Here is a little photo recollection of my first little 2007 snow... Here's Rich's Truck covered in snow Which became the sight of my creation,...

Tis The Night Before Christmas

Well, almost... as I write this, I still haven't slept, still have to cook, and prepare some things... but the hours are drawing to a close. We're nearly through Christmas... You still have to admit, even with the madness that it has passed quickly as usual... and we'll be a bit bummed when it's all over. With the 'goings on' of the next few hours, or really between today and tomorrow, I may not be able to really post alot, so I thought I would leave a nice holiday greeting up in case I don't get back until after the big day... I'll leave one for Christmas Eve, and one for Christmas. Sincerely, I have enjoyed getting to know each one of you who come here and comment and read, you're a great bunch of people... I hope all of you have a most magical and wonderful holiday, and I wish you the best life can offer in this new year that's upon us... So, I couldn't get my cat to pose, per se' but I still made a greeting out of his pic... Rodney, a...
