Full Moon Fever

Image
Today's Cancer Horoscope: It's one thing to be sensitive to other people's needs, but quite another if your happiness is totally dependent on someone else's emotions. The problem with placing the source of your satisfaction outside of yourself is that you cannot alter how anyone feels. However, you can change your attitude, which impacts your response to a situation. In preparation for tomorrow's Full Moon Eclipse, remind yourself that loving others begins with loving yourself. That's good advice any day... for any of us! Woke up this morning to the sound of the fan blowing and the weatherman telling his 'predictions' for the day and rest of the week. I haven't been on my bike at all for the last few days either because of the really bad rains of this last week, or the return of the higher heat and humidity that has left us in a sweat once again. I love my bike, but I haven't been in the mood oddly. I have thought about it with a pang in my heart...

Sunday, Monday or Always

Here I am, working on getting perked up... working on getting back in touch with my writing, blogging and having my head back in the game. It's one of those things, I know anyone might say, blog or don't blog. Who cares? Well, it is one of those things. I love to write, love to blog, it's one of my "therapies" so I would prefer to continue it. Even if I had nobody to read or comment, I would still want to, even though I do love my visitors with a purple passion! ;) First off today, I must share this video that my ol' man (if I am talking biker trash), or 'the ol' ball-n-chain', or if I wanted to be sugary, sickeningly sweet, I could say my 'sugar-pie honey bunches of delicious love muffin excellence', but I know he'd kill me--lol, so I will settle to say "Mr. J" shared with me. Do you remember the ol' Rick Astley "Rick Roll" video that went around the net for so long, where people would share a link with you or y...

When Potato Salad Goes Bad

Image
I have always loved Far Side cartoons... this one about Potato Salad going bad was one of my favorites. Just the mental image of spoiled food pulling a gun gives me a giggle. Larson rules. However, bad food in the fridge is sometimes no laughing matter. I recently let some broccoli sprouts go beggin' and they tried to take the entire household hostage, guests and all. Funny thing about broccoli sprouts, they are against guns and drugs, and totally for Animal Rights but they carry tazers. It's really confusing, and a lesson hard learned. :) So anyway, yeah another make up post I did for yesterday. So sue me... not that it makes a big impact. We've had internet connection problems, which are still ongoing. The technician arrived in decent time and said our equipment was o.k., and that there had been an issue going on in our area, here and there... they were working on it. Maybe it will be resolved soon. I sure hope so, it's just agitating and it goes down at the worst tim...

Extra Butter

Today started out with a rather peaceful workout on the Elliptical machine accompanied by an episode of "Malcom In The Middle" on CardioTheatre. I was quite pleasantly surprised that "The Clacker" (TM) didn't show up to make the whole thing miserable until the last 8 minutes of my workout. That's semi-acceptable. I can handle that. Besides, she's been strangely "quieter" since I brought the hammer down on her with my complaint to the management. Contrary to Richie's hopeful scenario, she has still not "come for me in the parking lot". Ha! Even though she has been on good behavior, for some reason, I still cringe when I see her coming and have a brewing hatred for the very sight of her. Guess she's just one of those people. After working out, we came back home, and I cooked super-charged "Omega 3-6-9" scrambled eggs (with a little shredded cheddar melted in) and turkey bacon. I made a pot of good strong coffee, and I ...
