Weekend Love

Image
Sometimes as I was saying yesterday Life can seem "out to get you". (If you read my long and worthy post-if not, GET READING!!). Yes, Life can seem so ironic or cruel... BUT--It's Officially the weekend-yeah! I'm happy about that, It takes the edge off. Still, it always feels like the weekend's fleeting before my very eyes... I hope to paint some this weekend, and I need to head down to Mom's house and check on them, and help with my niece's computer. Yesterday, our next-door neighbors' son (red head kid), came by to let us know he was intending to have a party tonight, and wanted to make sure it was o.k. if some people parked alongside the curve partly past our yard. He's always been a good kid, we said that's cool... We're noisy ourselves alot of the time. So I guess we'll see the block descended upon by some 16 year olds come nightfall. That should be interesting. Funny thing is, on my way to the store first thing this morning, I fo...

The End Only Starts A New Beginning

Good day to you all, this is my very first post of 2008. I put up a small one of course on New Years Eve, just well wishes and all. Then I took yesterday off, went home to Mom's, and had the usual "Black Eyed Peas" for lunch which is supposed to be good luck and all... Food was good, and two other sisters showed up so we almost had a little family thing going on... Mom seemed happy to have some of her daughters together... Deb, the one who just had a birthday on 12/28 if you recall, she brought her dog "GT" with her. Jeanne, well being such a "Big E" fan, her English Bulldog is named "Elvis", so he was with her. I felt left out not bringing my Salvador Dali namesake!!! :) Anyways, I think maybe Tink (of Pickled Beef) had planned to do something similar with the WWC this week, and I'm not sure... So I will put my official entry in nonetheless. I didn't have time to give any thought to this week's words, "Brown" and ...

III. Pardon me, do you have Prince Albert in a can?

Oh, o.k. i'll go ahead with the next installment. Here goes: The Printing Industry was paying the bills, pretty much. I was proofreading agrichemical and pharmaceudical labels that were on their way to be printed and distributed to the delight of farmers and pill-popping socker moms everywhere. Not really my bag, the proofreading although I always enjoyed English and Grammar. I majored in Art and Recess, so my heart has never been full of anything but passion and creativity. Some time down the road, the printing industry ride would end due to the 'corporate' politics and the fact that the head proofreader, Phil had taken a general disliking to me; I didn't fit in with his "perfectamundo-hippie with OCD who runs marathons" mold, so when the opportunity arose, he made sure along with the creepy department manager that I was history, and so I would soon be onto a whole new path. But wait, yes... the story. Back to the story, you're right. My apologies. The ...

Saturday is probably the one day that I wish would last all week long. I love sleeping in, and don't even mind not getting anything accomplished because it feels so great not to have to wake up at any certain time [that not-accomplished guilt strikes me down on Sunday nights of course]. Anyone ever been here? I've seen and heard of some good 'while they were passed out' pranks, but whoever did this one was pretty crafty as well as sadistic... haha. This guy is probably a Baptist Preacher now, who vowed never to drink again. I guess the only story that comes to mind at the moment is one of drunken cruelty, and of course, self-absorbed bitchdom. A former "friend" of mine, we'll just call her "Terry" to keep her bitchdom an internet secret. She was one of those friends who made you appreciate your enemies... Yeah, who cares... ok her real name is Sherry who in fact, had pretty bad hair herself (She was once mistaken for a member of the 80s rock grou...
