Deep In The Forrest

This morning, I could barely drag myself out of bed. It took all I had. Then the rain poured down all the way to work, I just took back roads... I always do. I never need much of an excuse to take the long way. Now, to top it all off the whole morning has been tough to take. I'm feeling anti-social. Everyone is having "impromptu meetings" in which they have no place else to stand except for behind my desk, and using their conference call option so I have had an endless stream of action and noise going on around and behind me today. I really want to escape. I could've done very well laying at home in my bed listening only to the sounds of rain. Storm on Mother Nature!! Storm on... Wow, I am going through a little writer's block it seems this week. I haven't written any lyrics, I can't really think of anything to blog about and I'm just feeling sort of lazy. I got off work and I came home, soaked my feet for like an hour and pretty much glued my ass to this green recliner that I love so much. I ate chinese food today, that's probably what it is... I'm probably lagging from the effects of the m.s.g. Wish I hadn't eaten it now... I'm getting sleepy, and maybe will go ahead and hit the sack. We're going to try to get up early and hit the gym, so why not get a good night's sleep. Oh wait a second, Ghost Hunters is on so I have to watch a little of that... then I'll get a good night's sleep. :) It looks like a re-run... Tomorrow being Thursday, the light at the end of the weekday tunnel will be in sight. I hope I can get some decorating done this weekend... I need some Holiday spirit to strike me!

I wouldn't try this at home, although it is one of the funniest scenes from the movie "Mallrats". Gotta love Jay and Silent Bob... and just happened to see "Clerks" on T.V. about a week ago... I don't know what reminded me to go find the above clip though... "Fly fatass fly!" LOL! I've had a long day today, and for some reason I have been edgy and bitchy as the day grew long. I went to the grocery store upon leaving work, forgetting that everyone would be at their Thanksgiving-worst. That's right, a thousand selfish, 'do unto others before they do unto you' assholes were out and about trying to pick up all their supplies for the big day. I can tell you that I did not enjoy being there. Not to mention the traffic between work, gro. store and home. Everyone's gone madder than usual. Just makes me want to hide somewhere away from all the cretins. Then came band practice. I was tired, my feet were hurting and I was edgy... It's ...

There are people that revel in the summer heat... I am not one of them. This Memphis helter-swelter has been dragging me down. Our air conditioner has just not been able to cope, even when I walk into the house I'm not getting any relief. Last night, I took a cold bath. That's right, as much as I like a hot-boiling bubble bath soak, I reclined back, basking in the chilly water until I felt like my body temperature had significantly reduced. Also, I don't know if it is partially the heat, but I have just been drained of all energy. I've been Dog Tired... I don't feel like moving. I wake up and just want to lay there, not moving a muscle. But I force myself out of bed and drag my 'zombified' ass through the house, searching for clothes to wear, and knowing I'm going to sweat to death and smell like a swamp by the time I get home.
