I've been unable to get to sleep tonight, although I felt very tired when I went to lay down and attempt to go to sleep. You see, I've been doing my Thanksgiving cooking, so maybe it's just all the memories preventing me from actually getting some shuteye. Those childhood feelings and memories of my parents have been woven into each dash of seasoning, every stir of the spoon or whipping of the batter. As I chopped, saute'd and pureed, all I could see in my mind's eye were visions of my Dad and Mom working together in the kitchen, days before and all the way up to Thanksgiving morning getting everything ready for our big dinner together.  Holidays were always exciting to me growing up because it was the only time that all of my siblings would pile in at the same time (mostly) and all the kids and we had a true houseful. Happy Tuesday Kiddies! Holiday Season is upon us, so a great many of us are preparing ourselves for Thanksgiving this week here in the US of A. It's a Time of giving thanks and being thankful for everything we have, no matter how big or small. If you stop and look around, then you might realize most times that you have so much more than you thought you did, and there are so many people who have way less than you, but are twice as happy. Something to think about... But nobody is "perfect", we are all flawed so there is plenty of room to grow in our ways of thinking. Don't get me wrong, I do wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, I enjoyed mine with the few members of our family that came home today. I wouldn't try this at home, although it is one of the funniest scenes from the movie "Mallrats". Gotta love Jay and Silent Bob... and just happened to see "Clerks" on T.V. about a week ago... "Your approval rating is great with the turkey!" Friday is in full effect, and while I still had a rough morning getting started I perked up when I thought about next week being a "3 Day Week". I can't believe it's nearly Thanksgiving again... It seems like I just finished telling you the story about my Halloween Trick-or-Treater, "Little Venom", who's probably outside terrorizing a turkey as we speak. However, This one ran straight into a Bush... {Doh!!} Thanksgiving here in the U.S. is just a day away... (counting down to Mom's Dressing!), and now that my wonderful lunch (below) has digested, and i've pretty much finished up my Tuesday, I had one more song I would like to reflect on-I get stuck on this song every once in a while--it's "Love is A Stranger" by The Eurythmics (Annie Lennox). There's just something about this song, if you've ever felt an obscession, a passion, a heated love (or something like it) for someone, you can understand what Annie is singing about.
