The Door To Home (WWC)

Image
In the words of the great Yoda , "Busy I have BEEN!" Honestly, I thought about skipping out on the Weekly Words Challenge, but this weeks words were hosted by one of my favorite people in blogland, Cynical (Jay) Sexy Bastard , so I could not, would not skip out on the likes of him in all his perverse Viking glory... Not you Jay, No way!!! His words for this week he ingeniously set to "Door" and "Home". I tried to work on this through the week, but unfortunately didn't collect very many to enter. So I might have pulled one or two out of my archived collection. The important thing is I'm here. Yeah! So let's get the party started! Door and Home... Cynical Weekly Words Challenge

Image
Today's Tuesday so you know what that means. Yes, it's the WWC, Weekly Words Challenge. This week, however, Tink is out of town, so she has left Jayman in charge! So does this mean trouble?? Ahh we shall see. At any rate, Tink's words for this week were "P" and "Movie" (or things that remind you of your favorite movies). To check out everyone else who is participating, I have a banner on the sidebar you can click, or I'll make it easy, Master Participant List . Alright now, here goes. Let me start with "P" : Pepsi!!! My own version of The Pietà Piggy Passing by the Pyramid (that's 2 Ps lol) Now for my "Movie" selections: Nightmare on Elm Street (remember Freddie driving the bus?) Stand By Me (for obvious reasons) The Mexican (just becuz) Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" muuhahahaha!!! Evil birdy. Our WWC-Master, Jay, has set next week's words for "Door" and "Home" (or things that remind...

Oh Happy Cynical Day!

Blessed was the day that our best-blog-buddy, Jayman (From "Cynical Bastard") was born!! Today is his Birthday... so go over and wish him a rockin and bad-assed day! He's probably the glue that keeps us all sane ;) Have a great day Jay!! And here's to many more... Birthdays, Blog Posts and just all-around "CYNICAL" Magnificence from YOU!!! Public and Private (WWC)

Image
This week's "Weekly Words Challenge" is brought to us by the manly and excellent Jay of Cynical Bastard . He has done a great job of standing in for Tink as she was off getting married all this last week... His words were "Public" and "Private" . I'm running amuck and confused as usual, so bear with me. I'll get this I hope! Let's get this party started! My Pubic... Oh wait, damn wrong word. See told you I was confused today!!! Maybe I better let the Slideshow handle this... Happy Tuesday!

We Desire Diversity (WWC)

Image
Hi there. I am always a day late and a dollar short it seems. These days maybe two or three dollars short, but I digress. I am late for this week's WWC (Weekly Words Challenge), but I am doing my best this week. This week's words were "Diversity" and "Desire", & still provided by the by NOW Very Married, Tink (of Pickled Beef). We're all very happy for you Tink! Since she is away doing those things that Honeymooners are prone to doing (at least for a while), she has left a very worthy "Grand Poobah" in charge. Our leader for this next week is that suave, debonair, rowdy and raunchy Viking that we all know and love, Jay of Cynical Bastard . He has presented us with NEXT week's words, "Public" and "Private" (which are still apt to cause a stir eh?). Ok, ok... I'll get to my entries for this week since it sounds like I am beating around the bush... I promise I'm not. Here you go... My Slideshow . Voila! Let...

Hands and Feet (WWC)

Image
All kinds of stuff going on this week, and it has been a founky (sp) start for me, so my "WWC" is very bare bones this week. The Weekly Words Challenge (WWC) is brought to us by the ALMOST MARRIED Tink of Pickled Beef ! Congrats Tink as your day is drawing very close!!! :) Tink gives us "Hands" and "Feet" for this week's words, and I believe while she is away, she's handing the reigns over to our favorite sexy Cynical Bastard (Jay) . Can't wait to see what havoc he will reek with us! Should be Wicked Fun. Since I am in a bit of a creative kink, I can only offer to re post my feet, which should still thrill everyone I think. The shot is from when I was relaxing in Mom's pasture, and met with the fateful Karma Cow (as Tink called her) . AJ's feet pointed towards the sky, while grounding herself... Well I do hope you enjoyed that, even if it was a repeat. Some things bear repeating, especially my bare feet. Sorry I don't have anything ...

Memphis Monday Blues

*Announcement (mainly for family): My Aunt Lorena's husband Dave passed away in the early hours of Sunday I think. His hospitalization due to Alzheimer's Disease, and also Pneumonia took their toll. Visitation is Wednesday from 10-12 and the Services begin at 12:00 Noon, so if you're going in support of Mom or Aunt Lorena, or want to send anything, contact Mom for the details. Not that you are expected to, or were going to--just FYI. I will be going to the funeral basically to help Mom get there, and also to support Aunt Lorena. on to today's 'things-n-stuff'... Why is it that every day in this city brings me 'that much closer' to throttling those around me? I meditate, I slack when I can and need to, I take deep breaths, I play my music, I ride my bike in the wind, and still I find my fingertips aching to tap the life out of some of these idiots. A few examples I suppose, for this lovely beginning of a new week. 1. One thing, and albeit this is minor: Y...

Tradition Tickles Me Pink! (WWC)

Image
Ahhhh, as Jay (o'r at Cynical Bastard) has informed me, the WWC was in fact moved to Wednesday... just this once. That saves my bootai!! Thank goodness... Thanks Jay for letting me know! Therefore, let's proceed with this week's Weekly Words Challenge (WWC) , brought to us by the Traditionally wonderful Tink, of Pickled Beef . Here goeth this week's theme, "Tradition" and "Pink". A Lovely Pink Purse, by my very 'Vogue' neice, Chrissy. The sisters, Kailey and Kenna, don pretty pink shirts that instruct "Just Add Snow"... I would if I could Kailey!!! Second sister, Kenna same snow shirt and Reanna's even PINKER outfit. Don't they look enthused to have their photo taken?? :) A couple Thanksgivings ago, I started a "Tradition" of playing games in the driveway with rocks, the kids have not let me forget this. Jackson shown here drawing in the gravel, however camouflaged (Can you even see him??)! It is also Tradition th...

You Might Think I'm Delerious

Image
Jay , and Corky recently sent me on a trip through the 80s. What with Jay's post about infamous strip tease scenes, and the oiled up chest of Tom Cruise (neither of which I ever found attractive as a woman), and Corky's 'up close and personal' showcasing of Steve Perry's junk (or wad, crotch, etc). I couldn't help but get stuck in my own 80s trap. I kept getting songs stuck in my head such as Sting and the Police with "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", and others like that who used to frequent "Friday Night Videos". The Cars with "You Might Think" I guess the 80s was alot of things for me... I learned to drive (well I actually learned to drive when I was like 2), I fell in love (many, many times). I obsessed over music, and spent hours in front of my stereo making the ever-popular "Mix Tapes" for myself, my friends and of course my 'true love' of the week. [Note: I still do "Mix Tapes" even today, ...

Today's Only Tuesday (And WWC)

Image
I know, I know what a fancy title that is... I'm feeling quite lazy this week for some odd reason, not that I'm acting on it--I'm still getting (some) things accomplished. But, I was totally thrown off track and nearly forgot that it was time for the WWC (Weekly Words Challenge) courtesy of the fabulous Tink of Pickled Beef . If you have not yet tried participating in the Weekly Words Challenge, it's tons of fun. Our favorite, hunk o'man, Cynical Bastard submits his photos, and always has great entries... and Tink has some wonderful photos too! So go check it out, and tell em' AJ sent'cha! This week's WWC Theme words were "Posed" and "Natural". I was lucky this past weekend in getting my Mom to pose for me as she usually chases after me with the broom (I jest) for trying to capture her lovely face on film. So I had a wonderful, cooperative subject... My entries this week are not all that "clever", but they are good examples...

Need Security!! Please, We're insecure!

Image
I was reminded by Rockdog , who was reminded by Jay , who was reminded by Carmen (not sure how long this list goes on-lol) of titillating stories of Security-guard screw-ups and sometimes breaches in security around manufacturing companies, and plant-type environments. How secure can these places be?? I mean, you have a guard shack, and an open gate... lots of times the buildings are in bad parts of town or in the 'industrial' section, which is a bit morose looking in itself. But the guard shacks gave us this evidently 'false sense of security'. They're mostly unarmed, unless they can throw their security badge like some type of karate stars, or maybe knock the criminal down in a puff of cigarette smoke. Otherwise, they're pretty much sitting ducks, am I wrong? Well I once worked in a similar type of environment, but it was the Printing Industry. I was on 1st shift, but I have been through my share of 2nd and 3rd as well. Our building was older, a bit run down,...
