Say It Isn't So

My weekend is almost over, and I haven't really done much of anything. I feel slightly unaccomplished, but not so bad. Sometimes it feels good to goof off and just watch some movies and chill. I have worked up some pretty cool recipes along with the low carb stuff. First of all, to change up a bit from the cheesecake, I concocted a low-carb type of brownie. That turned out pretty good. And then today, I cooked Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo, using Spaghetti squash as the noodles. That was quite good too. This will be my second week without sugar and bad carbs, so wish me luck! We were supposed to go a friend's party to kick off The Cooper-Young festival this past Friday night, but everything got too hectic and I simply wasn't able to make it. I'm sure he's mad at us for not showing, because it was the last time that he will really have a party there, since they have sold their house and are moving to Atlanta, but hopefully he'll forgive me. I feel so unmotivated and immobile today. I just want to lay back down. All I can think is that the rest of the week I won't be able to lay down and be lazy and I want to lay here and do nothing, think nothing. Why do I feel so lazy and unenergized? It's another gray day, for one. Had some 'Camerones' for lunch, and now I'm sitting here watching AC/DC videos, and daydreaming. I need a facial, a pedicure, a haircut, a massage, an escape to the mountains in the snow, and unlimited pitchers of Unsweet Tea. Yeah Baby! Sounds good... get that set up for me won't you? Oh gawd why did I even attempt to post today?? (sigh)

Still Stuffed

I'm still too stuffed to think about writing much, but I'm here. Just woke up from a nap in fact (god I'm lazy). I will report very soon with more interesting things, but meanwhile you guys keep the dream alive! :)

Songs To Aging Children

Just felt like lyrics to a song today, it's Friday and I give a little relieved "Sigh". Have a great weekend, my fellow aging children. "Songs to Aging Children" by Joni Mitchell Through the windless wells of wonder By the throbbing light machine In a tea leaf trance or under Orders from the king and queen Songs to aging children come Aging children, I am one People hurry by so quickly Dont they hear the melodies In the chiming and the clicking And the laughing harmonies Songs to aging children come Aging children, I am one Some come dark and strange like dying Crows and ravens whistling Lines of weeping, strings of crying So much said in listening Songs to aging children come Aging children, I am one Does the moon play only silver When it strums the galaxy Dying roses will they will their Perfumed rhapsodies to me Songs to aging children came This is one
