St. Anger And The Hudsons

Today's "Zen" proverb of the day: "When you try to stay on the surface of the water, you sink; but when you try to sink, you float." Let that be a lesson Y'all! lol Ok, so I started trying to work up this post yesterday, and it began with a little letting off of some steam. I'm not angry, like right now in the present sense I am not "in a bad mood", I am fine really. I am still working on myself, and taking things one day at a time. It works... for me at least. But I think one of the reasons why I don't have an alcohol or a drug problem, or have to be institutionalized for any psych problems is because I don't mind freely sharing what's on my mind. I feel unhealthy when I keep things bottled up inside, my emotions and feelings, I let them out as much as possible. I think it helps keep me relatively well adjusted (as much as is possible on this crooked rock lol). But anyways, when I started this post I was merely letting out a few...

Close Encounters Of The Dream Kind

Image
The alarm went off around 5:00 a.m., which is actually about 4:45 since my clock is set 15 minutes fast. The snooze allows me 30 minutes (which is probably too long for a snooze, but seems very short indeed). I read a long time ago that if you position your alarm clock away from the bed so that you have to get out of bed to turn it off, you will be able to wake up easier... So mine is on top of the t.v. Therefore, I slide out of bed, eyes still semi-closed as not to let too much light in, ease up to the clock and slap it on the snooze button. Thirty more minutes of bliss ahead. Contrary to the advice, I fall back to sleep with no problems. This happens at least 2 more times because I am addicted to hitting the snooze button. This morning, during one of my 'snooze' sessions, I slipped into a very strange dream. It took place near my childhood home (Mom and Dad's house). My husband and I were walking down the road, and it was my impression that this was early morning... as if...

Wind and Five (WWC)

Good Day All! And a Happy Earth Day Too. It's not a bad one here in the Muddy River City. I noticed that that down by Tom Lee Park, they are starting the set-up for our soon-to-be Memphis In May Festival , this year celebrating the country of "Turkey". The yearly event kicks off with the Beale Street Music Festival . Looks like an interesting line-up this year... I might have to go! If you're planning a trip sometime soon, May is an eventful month to try it out. Other than that, I had salad for lunch, trying to make it through the day and get my WWC stuff together... yeah! Supposed to do more vocal recording tonight, and that's really all I have to say today. Just not a very interesting gal today. I would go into my dreams the last couple of days, they've been vivid and very strange, but really not interesting enough to detail. I'll just say this, the most memorable part of last night's dream was that I was in some store, a weird big store reminiscent...

Catching Some Zzzzz

Image
No I can't say that the title means I actually am catching any "REAL" Z's such as my old flame, "Z" from my Butterflies, Zebras and Moonbeams story . Besides, I'z a married lady and seeing Z would be wrong of course, and then to think about it I'm fairly certain Z still hates my guts. But Life is what it is, winding roads and all that jazz. Ok, I digress... I was discussing catching some Zzzz (see what he does? He still distracts me to this day, and do you think that he ever even stops to think about me? I seriously doubt it. What's wrong with men that nothing ever affects them but it rips our world apart. There are always sickening little reminders everywhere too so that the memory can never completely go away, like "Z Market" signs, etc). Crap!! I digress again. Please forgive me [Damn that man!!!] Oh yes... catching some Zzzz. Well, if you remember Mr. J's episode from about a week back where he nearly died because of the Ambien ...
