Deep In The Forrest

Well I have had a little gap, as my schedule changed up a good bit when my last contract position ended, and I've been doing a lot of work on the house, and of course trying like heck to find my next position and hopefully a long-term to permanent position. So a bit busy, and at times, lazy, but with the transitions of things in the house, I haven't had a good "computer spot" set-up which is comfortable for me to sit for long period of time so that I could spend much time on my writing and blogging. I need a new laptop or something to be honest, that way I'd be able to set myself up pretty much anywhere and write more conveniently. Yes, I used to have one, but it broke some time ago, and without my former roommate, I have no access to one. So, once I get settled into my new job (which I have faith is coming soon), I'll safe up and get me a small, cool little notebook or something. Short one today... I think I have figured out a really cool premise for a book or short story. Depending on what it decides it is. It could think itself magnificent and gargantuan and decide it is to be a novel, but presently it is the birth of an idea. Maybe this is the progressing of my creative journey. I have been really thinking and planning many things lately. I have been taking down a lot of notes on ideas and meditating within for answers, ideas and direction. There are whole other Universes out there... I think this is the time, that things are beginning to move forward more. I am excited. I'm beginning to feel less depressed and aimless and like I have some direction for my journey. I'm extremely glad for this, you just don't know. Now that is if I can whip myself into shape and take care of myself better so as to be able to make it to where I want to go... or well, enjoy my journey. I am presently reading the book (well, listening to the audiobook) "...

Oh yes, things have been quiet around the Forrest for a good little while. You could hear the crickets, and I haven't said much lately, but I'm back and intend to get back in action and start writing. So look forward to this, maybe I can pull some interesting stories out of my hat. Meanwhile, as with any good program, we'll be back after a word from our sponsor...

This is a fun little gadget to entertain all of you readers out there who love to write! A coworker passed this along to me, and I thought I would share. Basically, what you do is simply input a few lines, paragraphs, or whatever--a sample of your writing and hit the "Analyze" button, and it will tell give you the name of an Author with whom you might share a common writing style. I tried with several different pieces of my writing, and got various authors, but the one that popped up more often than not was, Stephen King! Pretty cool. Anyway, hope you enjoy. I'm skipping around tonight, and bringing to you Journals #5 & #7. Here goes. Jackie's Private Journal - Entry #5 - 3/26/85 O.k., sorry I skipped a while. Today I did an unusual thing. I pierced my own ears a second time!!! I was fooling with my ears and just pierced 'em. Now I have 2 holes in each ear. I couldn't believe myself! I like them though. Mom didn't make a big deal but Dad hated it!!!! It didn't really hurt but about like the gun. I'm satisfied. I may I may consider liking Ken* again but I'm not sure. I'll decide later and report. he's had a collapsed lung, he's so little well not really but he's got a thin chest ...

Come Mondays, everyone wishes they were doing just what Mr. J is doing here in this little photo, eh? This was a snapshot of my guy slurping up the suds on New Year's Eve... ahhh he loves his brew! I'll put him in a drinking contest one of these days with Barnze, Cappy and Drunk Punk and see who comes out on top! That would be a sight wouldn't it?? At any rate, I'd like to thank everyone for such warm wishes on my upcoming tooth trauma, which will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. CST (U.S.A.) if you wanna think a positive thought for me at that moment. Looking forward to getting that over with! After the whole Root canal, I get a crown and all that... guess it will look like it never happened... hopefully. On to other matters... we had four more songs mastered up over at Sun Studio this past Saturday, of course I stayed home and moped since I wasn't feeling well but Rob the Drummer says that they all turned out top notch. Will hear them tonight when I get to band practice....
