The following quote, which I first ran across some time ago is one that merits daily reminder, but we get so caught up in our day-to-day grind and are so busy 'white knuckle gripping' the things we are so hellbent on worrying and stressing over that we allow it to fall to the wayside. "Until Further Notice... Celebrate Everything!" Now I am not certain the origin of this quote, though I have seen it repeated many places, and also seen it as the title of published materials. No matter, the concept is one of the best pieces of advice we could receive. Today I looked down into the small deep eyes of an innocent puppy, and she only reminded me of all the spirit and soul that truly exists in the world. As small as her little canine eyes appeared, they were a vast universe of wonder and love. She looked directly into mine, unfaltering, as I sat still and stared into hers for a silent moment. It was as if they were a portal to an entirely bigger better world... perhaps they are. Yes my weekend has been o.k. so far, I visited my mother and I managed some time to myself to breathe. My mind has been quite tangled up in a fantasy world the last few days, and I cannot lie, I am not upset with that fact. Some might think that staying in a fantasy world, and not "growing up" would impede your adult life and cause you not to fit into your 'adult costume'. The number 9 is my favorite number. It's also Mr. J's favorite number. Isn't that cute? It was like that wayy before I met him, so we honestly did not copy one another. Our first things in common were "9" and "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix. I had a baseball jersey (still do) that I wore to a party, from the radio station in fact that I worked at, with my last name and the numbers '999' on the back. His "band nickname" was in fact "9". So there you go... I thought it was interesting, and probably the most fated and romantic thing about our union to date ;) So today is 9/9/09. I think that should mean something cool, but so far the day has just been a coughing catch-up festival for me, and a work day. Still waiting for my magic portal to open. Ahhh Romance is in the air, what with all the talk lately of vegetables and such. One might think it were spring around here. But it is not.
