Deep In The Forrest

(The TGIF Friday Post) Well thank goodness! I reached out to Jinks and she responded. Jinks Posted Everybody! Go Read . Glad to see she's peeking in again, and I'm hoping we can see and read more of her. She's really a fabulous person with alot of cool ideas and she writes very well... This post was just a short one, letting us know what she's been up to for the last few weeks but still, it's a dose of Jinks. Now her blog comments got screwed up one time, so if you read her, and wanna comment you will have to Leave Her Comments Here . She'll really appreciate if you stop by and say hello. What about me?? My sister said the other day, "You must be really busy, you didn't blog today." Yes, if I miss a day or two sometimes people think that there is something wrong with me because I blog a lot. I try to put something down even when I have nothing to say. I don't know why. Maybe it's good, maybe it's just another symptom in this disease. ...

BBC mentioned the other day that Jinks hasn't blogged in a while. I happen to know that she's had work situations that didn't make for optimal free time, and that she hasn't been able to get to it much. However, I really don't want her blog to fade to black again, as she has almost done here or there. I miss her presence here at The Forrest, and I for one would like to let her know officially that we WILL not have her disappear. So, JINKS , hear our plea... If you don't blog soon, some of us will really go off the deep end. We understand that everything might be chaotic for you right now, but I need my dose of "55-SKIDO"... Hey It Could Happen! Can't think of a better word for today than Lovely... It started off o.k., 2nd day in a row that Mr. J and I woke up and had our workout (not THAT you perverts! Went to the Gym!!). Then I was running fashionably late as usual, got behind every asshole that happened to be driving around this morning, and then hit a poor innocent bird with my car... I was changing lanes, he flew across, couldn't be helped... I was sad. But the rest of the day, I've felt light hearted and upbeat since I had lunch with my best buddy Tamra, and her daughter Jess... We don't get to lunch often, so we always enjoy the opportunity. Thanks again guys! Then I got back from lunch, and had the supreme pleasure a call from one of my favorite English blog family members, Four Dinners (and his sweet daughter, Jax) . They sounded so delightful, and we discussed all of the fun New Year's plans that everyone's got in store. I'm sure they got a giggle out of my accent as well. He just celebrat...

Today's blouse is cut in such a way that a bit of the wing on my Angel/Devil tattoo shows. When people see this, they always start out asking "Is that a butterfly??" To which I reply, "Oh, no--these two are my 'conscience', you know, like the little angel and little devil that sit on your shoulder... Here they are fighting it out." and I'll pull the shirt or blouse over to the side and allow them to see the entire piece. Usually it will illicit some response one way or the other (usually good)... So I bare to you my little 'consciences' that ride with me on my shoulder all the time... I'll leave it to your imagination to wonder which one wins. ;) Speaking of the battle over good and evil, we've enjoyed a break in the heat (a bit of rain) here this week, which was a relief in lieu of the past month's heat index and temperatures. Well, it's time to prepare as Friday the 13th is closing in on us... hmmm, that's interesting... Hope it goes off without a hitch. Sounds like a good time for good horror movies or stories... Makes me miss Halloween a little. Still been catching up on deadlines and commitments so that can be stressful. In fact, I finally just finalized my taxes today (How do you like that Dan?? lol). But I guess it's all good. Nobody likes to feel stretched too thin but I was just touching base with my friend Jinks today. She said she'd been wondering about me, why we hadn't been able to really have ourselves a good chat in a while--I explained to her about my pressing matters and all and just kind of told her how I'd been feeling so discouraged and disgusted sometimes, not even wanting to look in the mirror. I mean, we're getting back on track with our fitness and back to healthy eating, but I catch myself comparing the image I see staring back at me more like a Big Loud...

Hope that this Tuesday finds you all well and you're feeling fine, if you're not feeling fine at least try to look fine because as we all know it is better to look good than to feel good, and you know who you are. If you can't feel good OR look good, then maybe you can at least be good-then if not, as the old adage said "If you can't be good, then be good at it." I'll most assuredly try to post something of interest before the day is out, but you can still play some catch up if you haven't already, as you may have missed something hot or cool.
