Blame It On The Rain
This morning, I could barely drag myself out of bed. It took all I had. Then the rain poured down all the way to work, I just took back roads... I always do. I never need much of an excuse to take the long way.
Now, to top it all off the whole morning has been tough to take. I'm feeling anti-social. Everyone is having "impromptu meetings" in which they have no place else to stand except for behind my desk, and using their conference call option so I have had an endless stream of action and noise going on around and behind me today. I really want to escape. I could've done very well laying at home in my bed listening only to the sounds of rain. Storm on Mother Nature!! Storm on...
I found this relaxing, someone's video to Led Zeppelin's "The Rain Song"

Anyway, I pull behind them and I waiting, right? There are plenty of chances to go but she doesn't go. Then I notice she's talking on her cell phone. So when there is a big opening I just get ready to give her a little toot-toot on the horn and she turns on her LEFT TURN SIGNAL!!! AHHHHHHHH!
Needless to say we waited at that spot for more than 12 minutes before she felt like she had enough room to pull out. There were 7 cars behind me and 3 of them were honking their horns.
I was screaming at her and the woman behind me was leaning out her window yelling "YOU CAN'T TURN LEFT HERE IDIOT!!"
Finally turned left and I flipped her off and yelled at her one more time.
Then I thought "I have to tell Jaxxx about this little bit of road rage." ;-)
Now why does Rain Song always remind me of going to see Song Remains the Same at an old fleapit cinema with my mates when we were about 14. I mean there are so many other Zep songs in that film but that one alwasy triggers that memory... odd.
I'll bet if you called for one they would roll their eyes at you. Try it, call for a meeting. Then tell them what a bunch of fuck-ups they are. :-)
Frost here again this morning, but plenty of nice sun now. Soon I have to drive through a sea of monkeys in their monkeymobiles, some yakking on their little monkey cell phones, to take Helen to the hairdresser on the other side of town.
Oh well.
