Snow Blind!

Birthday wishes go out today to an honorary "Good Ol' Boy" from NYC, our friend RockDog!!

Well, I could hardly believe it, but it's true. The Mid-South was hit by snow and ice. Of course I was ecstatic. But I can tell the times have certainly changed. When I went out to take a look and "play" in the snow, there wasn't a kid in sight!?! How is this possible... I figured in our neighborhood, the little numbskulls would be running amuck. What's wrong with these kids today? I would've been outside all day long building a snowman, having Dad pull us around on the sled and just getting frostbitten to hell... Maybe they're all inside eating cake and playing their video games... go outside and play kids!! Time (and snow) is precious in these parts. :-{

So, Rodney says "Let's Celebrate!!!"
Here is a little photo recollection of my first little 2007 snow...

Here's Rich's Truck covered in snow

Which became the sight of my creation, "SnowKat" (hey don't knock it, I was the only one outside freezing my knockers, and as you can see it's not huge so I guess i've mellowed out in my old age (talk about depressing). No, that's not it...
Nobody will go outside and play with me!!!!
[and I had a hard time getting the snow to stick like I wanted it to, so there you have it, go ahead and laugh it up-lol].

My Neighbor's lovely tree and yard blanketed in snow

Sal flying around in the back yard in snow-blind ecstacy

"Canine Glee"

Sal "Christens" the first snow with his very special "blessings"

"The Snow Is Always Whiter on the Other Side of the Fence"

My Japanese Maple, toughing it out waiting patiently for spring.

And finally, to end it I will follow after The Magnificent and Noble Barnze and leave you with a great shot of my right foot in the snow

Have A Beautiful Weekend!

Snow cat moved me.

It touched me in places only priests and perverts touch.

Wonderful piece. ;)

Steven: Aren't Priests and Perverts one in the same? Hmmm And Thanks! Yes, it was no masterpiece-I rushed it, and now it has melted. :(

Rock: Hope you'll post your creation, if you make any...

and KRISTIE too if you guys had some great snow creatures or something... So glad we finally got a little.

It snowed here in Louisville but by the time I got outside the sun melted the majority of the snow away. I'm ready for a good storm! Have a nice weekend.

Yeah, as quickly as it came it melted nearly though... Not enough for me, but I guess i'll have to be happy with that. I'd like it to stay around for at least a couple days. :)

Mom used to make us snow ice cream, but never do it (she says) from the first snowfall, because it will give you a sore throat. It is delish though!

I live in Sacramento, so much like you guys, we don't see snow unless we travel up the hill.

Cute pictures of your dog...
I have a mini dachshund... he gets pissed when I take him to the snow... freezes his poor little weener off.

Nice blog! I'll be back.
